To bind these minerals to our fiberglass mesh, we use polymer emulsions and plant-derived cellulose (HPMC), a non-toxic, eco-friendly thickening agent commonly found in food and pharmaceuticals. When installed indoors under normal conditions, EZ Brick is designed to retain its color and appearance for as long as the wall remains in service.

No. EZ Brick is designed to be durable under normal use. However, it can chip, crack, or become scratched if struck with a sharp or heavy object or subjected to significant impact.

Yes. EZ Brick is water-resistant and may be used on shower walls when installed as part of a properly waterproofed shower system. Install the brick panels over a waterproof substrate, such as foam-backed brick panels or another approved waterproof wall system and use a grout or mortar suitable for wet-area applications.

Because EZ Brick has an intentionally rough and irregular texture, soap residue and mineral deposits may collect in the crevices over time. Periodic cleaning may be necessary to keep the surface looking its best.

When installed with an appropriate waterproofing system and maintained properly, EZ Brick can provide a distinctive, timeless appearance in shower applications.

Yes. EZ Brick is an excellent choice for kitchen backsplashes.

To protect the surface from food splatter, grease, and everyday kitchen stains, apply a high-quality, penetrating, breathable sealer based on silane and/or siloxane technology.

Some sealers may slightly darken or enhance the brick's color. Before sealing the entire installation, test the product on an inconspicuous area or a loose EZ Brick piece to confirm that you are satisfied with the appearance. Always follow the sealer manufacturer's application and maintenance instructions.

Yes, provided the installation remains within EZ Brick's heat and clearance limitations. EZ Brick can withstand temperatures up to 175°F (79°C) under normal conditions, but it must not be exposed to direct flame.

Yes. EZ Brick is suitable for many heat-exposed interior applications, including fireplace surrounds and accent walls. It can withstand temperatures up to 175°F (79°C) without damage under normal conditions.

EZ Brick must not be exposed to direct flame. Maintain at least 6 inches of clearance between the installed brick veneer and any heat source, burner, or open flame. Always follow the fireplace or appliance manufacturer's required clearances when they exceed this minimum.

No. We do not recommend installing EZ Brick directly over metal fireplace surrounds, face trim, or other metal components.

Metal expands and contracts as it heats and cools. This movement can weaken the bond between the adhesive and the metal surface, potentially causing the brick veneer brick panels to loosen or fail over time.

For the best long-term performance, install EZ Brick only on stable, properly prepared substrates that are suitable for tile adhesive. If your fireplace includes metal trim, we recommend ending the installation at the edge of the metal or using an appropriate non-metal substrate around the fireplace.

Yes. Because EZ Brick weighs approximately 2.5 pounds per square foot, the brick panels may be installed on vaulted ceilings, sloped ceilings, soffits, and other overhead surfaces when a high-quality tile adhesive suitable for the substrate is used.

For any overhead installation, the surface must be clean, sound, dry, and properly prepared. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's installation instructions and suitability requirements.

EZ Brick can be installed on curved or vaulted ceilings, arches, and other gently curved overhead surfaces by cutting the brick panels into smaller sections as needed. In general, the tighter the radius, the more cuts will be required to achieve a smooth, natural-looking installation.

However, EZ Brick is not recommended for wrapping around columns or other cylindrical surfaces. Because the brick panels measure approximately 19" × 11" and are rigid, they cannot bend horizontally to conform to a circular shape.

EZ Brick is suitable for many interior applications where it may be exposed to occasional moisture. However, it is not recommended for areas that remain continuously submerged in water, such as below the waterline of swimming pools, fountains, or similar water features. Constant water exposure may affect the appearance and long-term performance of the product. For these applications, we recommend using a natural stone or another material specifically designed for continuous underwater use.

At this time, no. EZ Brick is intended and offered for interior applications only. Although the product itself may withstand exposure to the elements, it has not been tested or certified to meet applicable building-code requirements for exterior installations. For this reason, EZ Brick is not currently recommended or sold for outdoor use.

No. EZ Brick is designed for vertical interior applications and is not intended for use on floors or other walking surfaces. It should not be installed on walkways, patios, driveways, or any surface that will be subjected to foot or vehicle traffic.

Yes. EZ Brick can be painted using high-quality masonry or acrylic latex paint.

However, keep in mind that painting will permanently change the appearance of the brick veneer. Painting may reduce or hide the natural texture and color variations that give EZ Brick its authentic brick look, and once the brick has been painted, it cannot be returned to its original finish.

If you're considering painting EZ Brick, we recommend testing the paint on a loose brick or a small, inconspicuous area before painting the entire installation.

EZ Brick can be drilled using a standard masonry drill bit, making it easy to install artwork, mirrors, shelving, TVs, and other decorative items.

However, EZ Brick is not designed to support heavy loads by itself. Whenever possible, heavy items should be securely fastened to the wall studs or other structural frame behind the brick veneer.

If you know in advance where a heavy item will be installed—such as a wall-mounted TV—it is best to install the mounting bracket directly to the wall studs before installing the EZ Brick. The brick veneer can then be installed around the bracket for a clean, professional appearance.

For lighter items that do not align with a wall stud, a suitable hollow-wall anchor may be used, provided it is appropriate for your wall construction and rated for the intended load. Always follow the anchor manufacturer's installation and weight-rating recommendations.

To install an anchor, drill a hole through the EZ Brick using a masonry drill bit of the size recommended by the anchor manufacturer. Avoid drilling a hole that is too small, as the anchor may deform or fail to expand properly during installation. Insert the anchor until it is flush with the surface before installing the mounting screw.

Installing EZ Brick is surprisingly simple. Whether you choose to install it yourself or hire a contractor, the process is much faster and easier than installing traditional brick or other masonry veneer.

Unlike conventional brick installation, EZ Brick uses pre-spaced, fiberglass mesh-mounted brick panels that allow multiple bricks to be installed at once. This simplifies installation, helps maintain consistent spacing, and makes it easier to achieve professional-looking results.

Yes, brick panels may be installed over existing ceramic tiles, brick, stone, or marble, provided the surface is solid, clean, dry, and reasonably flat. The existing surface must be firmly bonded, free of loose, cracked, or damaged areas, and have enough texture for the tile adhesive to achieve a secure bond. Smooth, glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded or roughened before installation. Painted surfaces are also acceptable, provided the paint is in good condition and firmly adhered. As with any installation, we recommend testing the adhesive on a small area before beginning your project.

One of the advantages of EZ Brick is how easy it is to work around electrical outlets, light switches, windows, and other obstacles. Simply trim the fiberglass mesh with heavy-duty scissors or tin snips while keeping the bricks attached to the mesh. This allows the brick panel to fit neatly around most openings without complicated cutting.

Yes. Individual EZ Brick pieces can be easily removed from the fiberglass mesh by gently pulling them free. This feature makes it easy to customize your installation for cuts, corners, edges, outlets, and other areas where a full brick panel cannot be used.

The fiberglass mesh can be cut using heavy-duty scissors or tin snips, allowing you to trim brick panels to fit your project. Individual bricks can also be cut separately when needed to achieve a precise fit.

Don't worry. Although every effort is made to securely bond each brick to the fiberglass mesh, it's possible for an occasional brick to become loose during shipping and handling.

Loose bricks can still be installed just like the bricks that remain attached to the mesh. Simply apply tile adhesive to the wall and press the individual brick into the space within the fiberglass mesh where it originally belonged. This will restore the brick panel's intended appearance and maintain the proper brick spacing.

Individual bricks are also ideal for making cuts, filling small gaps, finishing edges, or replacing a brick if needed during installation.

To ensure you have enough material for your project, we recommend ordering an additional 5–10% to allow for cuts, fitting, and normal installation waste. We also suggest saving any loose or leftover bricks, as they often come in handy for finishing touches.

After the EZ Brick sheets have cured for at least 24 hours, the joints are ready for grouting. We recommend using a preblended Type S masonry mortar mix. The EZ Brick grouting method uses a relatively dry, damp-soil consistency that allows the mortar to be packed directly into the joints with a masonry hawk and tuck-pointing trowel. Because mortar formulations vary by manufacturer, the amount of water required may vary. Add water gradually while mixing until the proper consistency is achieved and always follow the mortar manufacturer's requirements and safety instructions.

• Check consistency: Squeeze a handful of mortar firmly in your hand. Properly mixed mortar should form a compact ball that holds its shape without feeling wet or sticky. If it crumbles apart easily, add a small amount of water and mix again. If it smears or sticks heavily to your hand, the mixture is too wet.
• Mix only as much mortar as you can comfortably use within the working time specified by the manufacturer.
• Place a small amount of mortar on a masonry hawk. Using a tuck-pointing trowel, press and pack the mortar firmly into the joints between the bricks, completely filling each joint.
• Slightly overfill the joints to provide enough material for proper compaction and tooling.
• Once the mortar has begun to firm, use a concave brick jointer to compact and shape the joints. At the proper consistency, excess mortar should break away cleanly rather than smear across the brick face.
• If an area needs additional mortar, use some of the excess mortar that has fallen away during tooling and press it into the joint. This helps maintain a consistent moisture level throughout the section.
• After the mortar has set sufficiently, brush away loose mortar and crumbs with a masonry brush. If the mortar smears or leaves streaks on the brick surface, it is still too wet; allow additional drying time before brushing.
• Continue across the wall until all joints have been filled, tooled, and cleaned.

Installation rates vary depending on the installer's experience, the complexity of the project, and the grouting method used. As a general guideline, one person can typically install approximately 150 to 300 square feet of EZ Brick in a single day.

Using EZ Brick's recommended dry-pack grout method can further reduce installation time compared to traditional wet mortar techniques, allowing most projects to be completed more efficiently.

To ensure the best results, always install EZ Brick on a clean, dry, sound, and properly prepared surface using a high-quality tile adhesive recommended for the substrate.

Removing EZ Brick is possible, but it should be done carefully. If you need to remove an individual brick veneer piece, gently warm it with a hair dryer to help soften the adhesive. Then, insert a putty knife behind the brick and slowly apply outward pressure until it releases from the wall.

Because the adhesive is designed to create a strong, permanent bond, removing EZ Brick may damage the underlying wall surface. In most cases, the removed brick will not be reusable.

We recommend planning on repairing and repainting the wall after removal if you wish to restore it to its original condition.

Sealing is optional for most interior installations but is recommended in areas exposed to food splatter, grease, frequent moisture, or repeated cleaning, such as kitchen backsplashes and shower walls.

Use a high-quality, penetrating, breathable sealer based on silane and/or siloxane technology. Before sealing the entire installation, test the product on a loose brick or in an inconspicuous area and allow the test area to cure for at least 48 hours. Some sealers may slightly enhance or darken the brick's color.

EZ Brick itself may be sealed immediately after installation. There is no waiting period before applying a penetrating sealer to the brick surface.

Always follow the sealer manufacturer's instructions regarding surface cleanliness, curing conditions, and compatibility with any adhesive or grout used in the installation.

EZ Brick requires very little maintenance under normal interior conditions. Occasional dusting or cleaning with a soft-bristle brush is generally all that is needed.

For installations exposed to frequent moisture, food splatter, or grease, such as shower walls and kitchen backsplashes, periodically reapply a high-quality penetrating sealer, particularly over the grout joints. Follow the sealer manufacturer's maintenance and reapplication recommendations.

For routine cleaning, gently remove dust and loose dirt with a soft-bristle brush.

If additional cleaning is needed, use one of the following:

• A mild, granular detergent mixed with water, or
• A solution of one-part white vinegar to five parts water.

Keep in mind that EZ Brick is sold in boxes covering approximately 10 square feet, so round your final quantity up to the next 10-square-foot increment. Ordering a little extra also helps ensure that matching material is available for future repairs or touch-ups.

EZ Brick products are carefully packed in durable cardboard boxes to help protect them during transit.

Most orders are delivered by FedEx or UPS. When the delivery location is accessible at ground level, the driver will generally unload the order and place it on the property near an accessible entrance. Drivers generally cannot carry boxes up or down stairs or place them inside a home or garage.

In most cases, no. If your delivery location is at ground level and the UPS or FedEx driver does not have to carry the shipment up or down any stairs or steps, your order will typically be placed at or near your front door or another accessible entrance.

If stairs, steps, or other access restrictions prevent the driver from delivering the shipment to your door, the order will be delivered curbside, and you will be responsible for moving the boxes to their final location.

Additionally, if you choose the free pallet delivery option, pallets will be delivered curbside. We also offer a "Garage Drop Upgrade" for an additional fee. These are pallet deliveries which will be left in or near your garage.

Once your order has been shipped, delivery times are the responsibility of the parcel carrier (such as FedEx or UPS). While we cannot guarantee carrier delivery schedules or assume responsibility for shipping delays beyond our control, we are committed to helping you resolve any delivery issues.

If your shipment is delayed, please contact our Customer Service team at support@ez-brick.com. We will work directly with the carrier on your behalf to investigate the delay and help get your order delivered as quickly as possible.

If one or more boxes arrive visibly damaged, accept the delivery and keep the damaged boxes and all packaging materials.

A damaged box does not necessarily mean the EZ Brick inside is damaged. Inspect the contents carefully after delivery. Even when a few bricks are chipped or broken in transit, they can often be used for cuts, trimming, edge pieces, or other areas where full bricks are not required.

If the shipment appears to have sustained significant damage, contact us at support@ez-brick.com promptly. We may request photographs of the damaged boxes, packaging, and products so that we can evaluate the situation and determine the most appropriate resolution. Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If you receive the wrong item or a product that is damaged or defective, contact us at support@ez-brick.com promptly with your order number and, if requested, photos of the product and packaging.

We will review your claim and work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Each situation is evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine the most appropriate resolution.
